New and improved! Sojet’s low cost, entry level MoEco printer

Low cost printing just got better. Sojet has introduced a new printer, the MoEco 2000, to make printing on your product or package even easier.

The MoEco 2000 is packed with new features, but is still available an entry level price tag of just £1,000.

This new printer includes a number of improvements on its Elfin predecessor. The operator interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, including improvements to the editing features such as drag and drop positioning and sizing of the elements. The MoEco incorporates Sojet’s unique nozzle control technology and a nozzle switching innovation that gives better quality, less wear on the cartridge, and higher speeds.

The MoEco can print at speeds of up to 60m/min at a horizontal resolution of 1200 dpi. The resolution is easily adjustable to optimise contrast and economy.

For advanced external data projects, the processor can handle variable data at up to 5 prints per second for the example of a 12.5mm high 2D code such as a data matrix, or QR, code. The communications protocol uses ethernet for faster speed and compatibility with modern IT systems. It can communicate with an external plc to fill a dynamic text field with live information. This means automatically updating print messages such as GS1 128 barcodes and data matrix codes.

Sojet has also introduced features to help with ink economy. The printer can print in outline font, so that high-impact messages can be printed using a minimal amount of ink.

The MoEco 2000 comes with one or two printheads, each printing 12.5mm high. This enables users to print either 12.5mm high on both sides of a product or up to 25mm on one side with the two printheads stitched together.

Including all the new features, the MoEco printer costs just £1,000 for the single printhead version and £1400 for the 2 head version. The printer is supplied as a complete kit, including mounting brackets, Allen keys, USB key for importing logos and lint-free cloth for cartridge cleaning.

The printer has its own internal sensor in the front of each head, and the controller can run at a fixed speed, meaning that for many applications, an external sensor and encoder are not needed.

It can be purchased online from our T-Mark e-commerce site here and is easy to self-install, set up and maintain. We offer remote support if needed, or customers can order installation for £500/day.
